Title: THE MONTICELLO HOTEL FIRE, NORFOLK, VA. - MORNING OF JANUARY 1ST, 1918.

Description: Vintage postcard of the January 1st 1918 Monticello Hotel Fire in Norfolk, Virginia. Card depicts two views, one of the hotel on fire and another of an ice-encased fire-engine. The hotel was rebuilt, to be eventually replaced in the 1970s by the Federal Building.

Era: White Border (1915 - 1930).
