Mastroianni real photo postcard of pastoral scene of a shepherd, sheep and two lovers. Made in France. D. Mastroianni was an Italian artist who produced pictures using a technique he pioneered called sculptochromie. This consisted of sculpting a scene and lighting it entirely for the camera, the sculpture usually being destroyed after its photograph was taken. He produced many hundreds of pictures for postcards using this technique. Era: Pre-Chrome Divided Back (1902 - 1945).
