Surrendering to love. Hingebung. Description: Vintage D. Mastroianni real photo postcard of two lovers and two swans at a vine-encrusted doorway. Made in France. D. Mastroianni was an Italian artist who produced pictures using a technique he pioneered called sculptochromie. This consisted of sculpting a scene and lighting it entirely for the camera, the sculpture usually being destroyed after its photograph was taken. He produced many hundreds of pictures for postcards using this technique. Era: Circa 1910.
