Mastroianni, hand-coloured real photo postcard of an Old Testament scene. Esau selling his birthright to Jacob? Mastroianni's 'Ancien Testament' series. D. Mastroianni was an Italian artist who produced his pictures using a technique he pioneered called sculptochromie. This consisted of sculpting a scene and lighting it entirely for the camera, the sculpture usually being destroyed after its photograph was taken.
