Description: Vintage real photo card of the "Pioneers' Monument" in Gundagai that includes a fold-out of ten scenes of Gundagai, N.S.W, Australia.
This is not a true postcard, (although of standard postcard size), it having the "History of the 5 Mile Gundagai" pasted onto its back. This tells of the pioneers of Gundagai, the gold diggers, bushrangers, (Gilbert of Ben Hall's gang, "Moonlight" and Nesbitt and Wrenecke), and the police they killed - Sergeant Parry and Constable Bowen.
The foldout shows pictures of Sheridan Street, Murrumbidgee River near Mt. Kimo, Gundagai from the Power Station, St. Patrick's Church, The Courthouse, The Bridges across Murrumbidgee, St. John's Church of England, Sheridan Street looking East, Monument and Bridges, The Two Bridges.
The card war produced for the Gundagai District Hospital, it bearing a 2d royalty.
